RULES FOR THE DANCE
New Year.
New rules for the dance.
DANCE. That’s it. Nothing fancy, nothing elaborate, just dance. Sway from side to side, pick up one foot and then the other. It doesn’t matter what you do as long as you move. Let the music take you with every melody that fills the universe, releasing what has been great. You can’t move with heavy baggage or chains, so naturally, those will go. You’ll feel lighter and feel your hips start to move to and fro. At first it may feel awkward and your mind will question why, but by the end you’ll be immersed in a full body jive. The questions all lead to the rules of the dance: number 1. DANCE, number 2. throw out all other rules. Come into your body and forget yourself at the same time. There need not be limitations to how you move, for as long as you are dancing, you’ll surely find your groove. We are all participants in life, waving and clapping our hands. You can not do it wrong as long as you are in the dance. You can do it solo, or with a partner or ten. Once you step onto the dance floor, your life will begin. I’m throwing out the steps and making up my own. I’m moving and grooving and becoming one with the music that only I can hear. Dancing I will live. Dancing I will love. Dancing I will die. The only rule of the dance is to dance. Get in there. Do your thing. Be seen. Have fun. Create. Live. Dance.
